Many scholars agree that the Technical and Vocational and Training (TVT) sector has made a significant contribution to the development of many developed countries around the world. In our country as well, due to the significant contribution of this sector to economic and social development and transformation, the government is working diligently to ensure the accessibility, relevance, and quality of the sector by giving it special attention.

Specifically, to ensure accessibility, numerous TVT colleges have been built across the country, and in our region, approximately 14 polytechnic and TVT colleges have been constructed and are providing services. Extensive work is also being done to ensure the quality of the sector.

Kebado TVT College, one of the TVT colleges in the Sidama National Regional State, was established in Kebado Town, Dara Wereda, Southern Sidama Zone, based on the community's development demands and government priorities. It has been operating regularly since 2011 E.C. The college envisions becoming a leading and preferred college among TVT institutions in the region within the next five years by producing skilled, competitive, entrepreneurial, morally upright, diligent, and hardworking citizens while benefiting the community.

In line with the new education and training policy and strategy, the college provides quality market-driven TVT through regular, evening, weekend, and market-oriented short-term training programs based on zoning and differentiation studies that consider the area's natural and human-made resources. Beyond making training practical in agriculture and agro-processing sectors, the college is engaged in various income-generating activities in animal husbandry and crop development to increase internal revenue. The college also transfers various technologies that solve community problems and achieves remarkable results, while providing industrial extension support services to micro and small enterprise operators organized in various occupations.

As I conclude, I emphasize that the college is working with commitment and dedication to fulfill its government-given mission and provide appropriate services to the community. I call upon the government, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and all stakeholders to contribute their support for the realization of the college's vision.
